I have the dreaded lurgi today - managed to pick up both a cold and a stomach bug all at once - I am feeling like utter sh*t. Wish I was back in Paris. Worst thing is that the cold has set off my sinuses, which I suffered with for a good 18 months before I found the right consultant. Took about two days to sort it out them after 18 months of suffering due to a doctor who wouldn't have managed to diagnose leprosy in a leper colony. Went through all sorts of unnecessary allergy testing and general hell.
Boy do I sound like a miserable hypchondriac. For any allergy sufferers out there you have my sympathy and here's a couple of useful links for you if you ever need your house cleaning:
